Discounts are calculated based on an hourly rate of £55 per hour.

The block of 10hrs is flexible and can be used for any length of lesson. You can pay upfront, and lessons can then be scheduled as and when depending on your schedule.

  • Training centred around you and your needs in a fun, relaxed and safe atmosphere. Taking lessons at your pace, in a judgement free environment.
  • Practice driving where you will be driving on a daily basis after you pass your test. Your lessons, your RULES!
  • Book lessons that suit your schedule, track your progress and other great driving resources with the Total Drive app.
  • Block lessons are flexible on a weekly, bi-weekly or 3 weekly basis.
  • Up to 2 lessons can be booked per week depending on availability.
  • You can choose 2hr or 1.5hr lessons with our Block Bookings
  • Theory Test training included.
  • Help with and advice on booking Driving Test.
  • The BENCHMARC 90, Double & Triple must be paid at least 48 hours prior to lesson.
  • The BENCHMARC Block must be paid within 48 hours of booking the block with us.
  • You can pay for a block of 10 hours to make a saving, and then book lessons as you go along if you’d prefer.
  • You must use the block of 10 hours within 3 months unless agreed otherwise.

No refunds given for unused lessons after this period unless for exceptional circumstances out of our control.

At BENCHMARC Driver Training we specialise in driving lessons for the neurodiverse. Over the years I have learnt many skills & techniques that will help you become an AMAZING driver and help you manage your disempowering triggers.  I want to share these skills with you and not only help you drive to THRIVE. But to also transfer these skills into your life outside the car, so you can Thrive and feel ALIVE! 

What to expect during a lesson

In a driving lesson with me, you can expect a flexible, tailored & fun approach designed to suit your learning style. To begin with it’s just getting to know each other, we don’t even have to talk about driving if you like. My goal is to create a no-pressure, judgment free & enjoyable environment where you feel comfortable and in control. I’ll ensure you have all the knowledge and confidence needed to operate the vehicle safely, helping you work towards the freedom and independence that driving will bring you. 

Be Prepared

For your driving lesson, first and foremost, bring yourself and arrive on time. You must have your provisional driving licence with you—it’s a legal requirement. Wear comfortable shoes, and bring a spare pair if needed, as the right footwear is crucial. Dress appropriately for the weather; avoid bulky coats. If you wear glasses, bring them for the required eyesight test at the beginning of your first lesson and before you start your driving test. Also, bring any necessary medication and inform me in advance so I can assist if needed.

I chose the Toyota C-HR for driving instruction because it’s the car I trained in while becoming an instructor. I promised myself that once I could invest in it, I would—so my students could experience the same confidence and excitement I felt. This car helps me fulfill my mission of empowering others with the freedom and independence that driving brings, allowing them to go wherever they want, whenever they want, with whomever they choose.

Dual Controls

My car is fitted with a He-Man Dual Brake. As it’s an automatic there is no need for a dual Clutch. However the biggest dual control I have is my mouth!

Marc, Thank you so much for being an amazing driving instructor. I would absolutely recommend Marc. I had never driven before, and learning a new skill in your late thirties isn’t easy. However, Marc is extremely patient, encouraging, and genuinely fun to learn with. He allows you to progress at your own pace. Marc is very supportive — I was driving on my own from my second lesson onwards. Each class is tailored to your needs. Marc spends the first few minutes discussing the plan for the lesson and makes sure you get the most out of every lesson. Marc is incredibly patient — I needed a lot of help with manoeuvres, and there were lessons where we focused entirely on forward and reverse bay parking in a car park until I felt confident enough to do it independently. He teaches you the technique but encourages you to adapt it in a way that feels most comfortable. Marc is always optimistic and finds a way to turn every situation into something positive. It has been an amazing journey, and I will always be grateful to Marc for teaching me how to drive and helping me build real confidence on the road.

Our daughter Rebecca did Driving Lessons and her Driving Test in Crawley with BENCHMARC Driver Training and School. We cannot recommend Marc highly enough. He was always on time and communicated if changes had to be made and fit Rebecca in when he could. His help and guidance meant Rebecca passed with no Minors! I did driving lessons in Crawley with Benchmarc Driver Training School, I would definitely recommend Marc to be your driving instructor, as I started my journey, I was nervous and anxious due to previous bad experiences, I had around 7 years break before going for it again. Marc is very patient and positive and helped build my confidence up and believe in myself that I could do it, and I did!! Thank you again for everything and without you I wouldn’t be where I am now 😊 So grateful and pleased that I now have my license and I can go anywhere I want when I want 😀

Highly Recommend! An absolutely excellent driving instructor! Always made me feel comfortable and at ease behind the wheel. Every lesson was not only productive but also full of laughs, which made learning so much more enjoyable. He has endless patience and a great way of explaining things clearly. I passed first time thanks to his guidance and support. I genuinely looked forward to every lesson and would 100% recommend him to anyone learning to drive!
