I specialise in serving those who need extra support, who have been through several instructora and want to fulfill their full potential. Driving should be fun! So having an immersive, progressive & let's go attitude in the car is a must and will help the learning process MASSIVELY. Not only will you enjoy your time behind the wheel, you'll also be able to transfer the skills you've learnt back into daily life. You'll be amazed at how rewarding driving is and you'll feel all the better for it.  

My Why & My Background 

Being a Driving Instructor (or Driver Trainer as I like to see myself) is in my blood. My Granddad was a Driving instructor back in the 80's & 90's, and my cousin has just started his road to retirement after being a Driving Instructor for almost 40 years.

Before becoming a Driving Instructor my professional career consisted of various sales & management roles. With the bulk of it working as a Sales Manager in mobile phones (3 & O2) & beds (Dreams). I really enjoyed my time in sales & management, learning many skills, meeting amazing people but never really felt fulfilled. Then during lockdown in 2020 I decided to make the most of an opportunity, and start my venture in to becoming a Driving Coach and qualified  in 2021. 

BENCHMARC Driver Training was born at the beginning of 2023 (my wife came up with the name so I can't take credit for that!). I'm a Dad to 2 girls, and a husband to my better half. Family comes first and my lifestyle now allows me to focus more on them. And it has also helped me to be completely immersed & engaged with my trainees when on the road.

I love serving & helping everyone I share the car with so they can learn a rite of passage. But what gets my juices flowing is to help everyone be in control of what can be controlled, and to accept the things that can't be controlled.

I approach every person and lesson to suit what they need. I will never make anyone do something they don't want to do. But I will always challenge, encourage and help you to be the best version of yourself every step of the way. There will be ups and downs, but it is all part of the journey whilst you progress towards freedom. I take it at your pace, and you call the shots! I'll guide you, and keep you on the right track but ultimately it's up to you to decide what you're doing, why you're doing it and where you want to go.
